This plate will be put on a cylinder. The quality of plate and cylinder has a significant effect on printing results. In fact, Flexography is a modern version of letterpress (a technique of printing which uses metallic relief letters and photos). Obviously Flexo is more functional the letterpress, as it can be used to print on any substrate including plastic, foil, cellophane and paper. This method is widely used to print on different types of packages. It can also be used for monochrome printing of large surfaces. Flexo printing machines are always developing and improving very fast. As a result, multi-color Flexo printing became a serious competitor for Offset printing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Production process of general cartons with Flexo printing” tab_id=”1577255105059-a7099df9-add8″][vc_column_text]In Sepidar carton manufacturing group, the process of producing and Flexo printing of cardboard cartons involved the following steps:

Anilox rolls increase the quality and speed of Flexo printing considerably. Cylinder (or anilox roll) is the key core of modern Flexo printing systems and is responsible for ink transferring to relief plate. Let put it simple: The ink is transferred from the ink roll which is partially immersed in the ink tank. Then it transfers to the anilox whose texture holds a specific amount of ink since it is covered with thousands of small wells or cups that enable it to meter ink to the printing plate in a uniform thickness evenly and quickly.
